The Juilliard School offers Group Tours free of charge to prospective applicants (students applying to a college program within the next 2-3 years) and their chaperones. Groups of 10-30 students and chaperones should request a group tour instead of registering for a daily campus tour.
Important Things to Know
- Campus tours are limited to 30 people total due to the nature of our building, and to ensure that all tour participants are able to participate and have their questions answered. Please be advised that groups that arrive with more than 30 guests will not be allowed past security.
- The majority of tour participants should be seriously considering applying to Juilliard within the next 3 years. (This means that groups of students who have not completed at least one year of high school cannot be accommodated).
- Tours consist of a tour around the building, and time for questions. Please be advised that some areas may be unavailable for viewing during the summer due to construction. All tours are given in English, last approximately one hour, and are given by current Juilliard students.
- We require at least two weeks advance notice for group tour requests. Availability is limited and tours are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Scheduling Your Tour
- During the academic year (September-April) group tours are scheduled around student tour guide availability and may be scheduled for weekdays only; we do not offer weekend tours.
- During the summer (June-August) group tours can only be scheduled for Monday-Thursday, as campus is closed on Fridays. Space is limited during the summer, and requested tour dates cannot be guaranteed.
- Tours are only offered when school is in session. Please refer to our Academic Calendar to see when academic breaks are scheduled.
- Group tour requests submitted less than two weeks in advance of the tour date may not be able to be accommodated.
